5th Degree Black Belt
Master Chief Instructor
Director of Little Tiger Programs
Co-Director of Childrens Programs
I grew up in rural Ventura County, CA and spent my adolescent and teenage years riding horses and competing in gymkhana, the female version of the rough and tumble Rodeo. I never thought it would lead to a career in the Martial Arts.
Looking for a “tamer” physical activity that I could do with my two young sons, I enrolled in a community center Taekwondo program and I soon discovered the enriching benefits of martial arts, which rekindled a determination for self-improvement similar to what I experienced as a teenager riding horses.
I have been training in the martial arts with my family for over 20 years. In April of 1992 our family opened a martial art school in Cotati where I took on the role of Instructor for what we now refer to as the Little Tigers Program. Through the years I promoted in rank to 5th degree and earned the title of Master Chief Instructor with emphasis on teaching martial arts to children aged 4 through 13.
I have witnessed first hand, time and time again, how quality martial art instruction can boost a child’s self-esteem and confidence.
