Below you will find excerpts from some of the letters we receive from students, their parents, and former students who have something to say about their training here at Pecoraro‘s Academy of Martial Arts. We have edited the letters to remove personal information about the families and children’s names, and in some cases have reduced the length of the letter for space and readability reasons. We take great care to ensure that the original intent of the message is preserved in all cases where we have edited content.

“I’ve had the pleasure of being a member of Pecoraro’s School of Martial Arts for one year. I have struggled most of my life to achieve a consistent level of physical fitness even though I have intellectually understood the importance of physical fitness to my life. Unfortunately, I personally found the process of physical fitness to be boring, uninspiring, and lacking in practical application.After a year at Pecoraro’s I can finally say that I have found my niche! ”I would like to make a personal recommendation for Pecoraro’s Martial Arts. Both of my kids went through training when they were younger (much younger, they’re now 24 and 31!). This was the best decision I could have made for them. Not only did they learn self defense, but they also learned valuable lessons in respect, discipline, responsibility and other life lessons in a friendly, safe atmosphere with caring instructors. “Pecoraro’s Hard-Core Fitness class has helped me kick start my training. I’m training for my first triathlon in quite a few years and the Hard-Core class is great because it hits all the major muscle groups. The other major benifit to me is that enough classes are offered that I can always find one to fit my schedule. I really appreciate that John is always offering advice about how to modify the exercises so they will fit my needs. I have been meaning to send you a note of thanks for not just the classes that you offer, but for the warm, welcoming & supportive environment that exists at every class. There is a special group of people that come to Pecoraro’s. Everyone is positive & encouraging which makes it a pleasure to be there. The dedication & passion the three of you have is admirable & contagious! I have to admit that this is the longest that I’ve ever stuck to a program and it’s because being a part of the Academy has become a very important part of my life. It’s not just about the classes. It’s about the people. It’s where I can focus on making me better – physically & mentally, knowing that those around me support my efforts as I support theirs. It’s also something special that Lauren and I will be able to say we had together which isn’t typical between moms & teenage daughters nowadays.
You have given me something beyond just kickboxing & fitness classes. When I walk through the doors, everything gets left behind. I know I’m walking into a place where support, respect & positive attitudes prevail. It’s a place where no one has a personal agenda, but is there to improve themselves while helping others improve.
